Overview
This is a micro-credential in the “Biopharmaceutical Filtration” stack.
Competency
Learners are able to size a depth filter for clarification of cell cultures.
How ?
Learners are able to provide skill-based evidence that demonstrates the ability to conduct small-scale experiments with PmaxTM sizing method to determine the capacity of the depth filter for scale-up.
Method overview
The earner determines the required pore size and area of depth filters to clarify a given volume of upstream cell culture feed within a specified batch time by conducting a small-scale experiment with the PmaxTM method and provides a recommendation for a cost-effective depth filter system.
How can you achieve ?
To obtain this micro-credential, the earner must submit either a video with clear narration or a written report with accompanying photos demonstrating their ability to perform small-scale experiments using the PmaxTM sizing method to determine the depth filter's capacity for scaling up.
