Product Mindset
In today’s fast-changing startup world, success comes to those with the right attitude—especially a product mindset. This Micro-Credential teaches you three core product mindsets that help you handle change, work confidently with uncertainty, and achieve results wherever you work, not just in product roles. Get the mindset you need to thrive and grow in any fast-paced business.
Competency
Earners demonstrate an understanding of product mindset and are capable of promptly setting and validating their ideas and hypotheses without requiring engineering resources to build real features.
How ?
Earners select a work-related idea and design a test to validate said idea and the hypotheses behind them. Earners also utilise the 4 product mindsets in the process.
Method overview
The real-world application of a product mindset, usually comes in handy when there is an amazing idea that the team would like to implement. Before investing the budget, time, and resources into executing the idea, one should test and validate it first. To do so, there are 5 steps:
- Articulating the idea
- Connecting the dot backwards to the hypothesis behind the idea
- Designing the minimal execution method that would not require engineering work, to test the idea with a beta set of users
- Defining the test’s success metrics to commit to
- Launching & measuring
